About Me

I'm Louis — a theatre technician, sound designer, and creative technologist.

I've spent the last 6 years within an amateur dramatic youth drama group (SOSage) where I committed to various shows at the Core Theatre. These include, Popstars' 90s Musical (2019) - Ensemble Oklahoma (2020) - Ensemble Battle of Boat(2022) - Jimmy Bugsy Malone (2023) - Fat Sam and recently at the Atrix Wizard of Oz (2024) - Uncle Henry/Guard This year (2025), I moved away from acting to my passion for Sound, where I worked with SOSage/Cookie. I was the lead on sound for the live performances, managing all sound effects, levels, and providing technical support throughout rehearsals and handling any sound issues that came up during the shows. Parrellel to this, I have over four years of experience in sound at Alderbrook School. I use the Behringer X32 digital sound desk. I have mixed sound for large school shows, including We Will Rock You, Grease, The Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, and many concerts. I also worked on a production for National Theatre Connections at the Royal & Derngate Theatre in Northampton. I have advanced experience with QLab. Building and running cue stacks, trigger sound effects, and sync cues with other technical elements. I have used QLab in live shows and rehearsals. I have a working knowledge of live sound. I can manage inputs and outputs, set gain, apply EQ, and control levels for both microphones and instruments on a large scale. Troubleshooting common problems during setup and performance.
